「幸福な王子」（こうふくなおうじ、The Happy Prince）は、オスカー・ワイルドの子ども向けの短編小説。またこの短編が初出する短編集 The Happy Prince and Other Tales の通称。1888年に発表された。
町の中心部に高く聳え立つ金箔の王子像が、あちこちを飛び回っていろんな話をしてくれるツバメと共に、さまざまな苦労や悲しみの中にある人々のために博愛の心で自分の体を覆っている金箔を分け与えていくという物語。最後は、金箔のはがれたみすぼらしい姿になった王子と南に渡っていくチャンスを逃して、寒さに凍え死んだツバメが残る。皮肉と哀愁を秘めた象徴性の高い作品。

その名を、オスカー・ワイルドの童話”The Happy Prince”から取ったレーベル、Happy Princeは、彼の作品が、愛、哀しみ、友情、悲劇といった、人間感情のまさに悲喜こもごもの全てを表現していたことに感銘を受け、音楽もまたそのようなものであるべきだという信念のもと、インディー・ロック/ポップ、シューゲイザー、ポストロックといった音楽を中心に、新しくて普遍的なエモーションの表出を、時代から切り取っていく。
The label called Happy Prince, named after Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale “The Happy Prince”, has been highly impressed by the fact that his work has expressed all of human feelings such as love, pathos, friendship and tragedy. We believe music should be the same. On the basis of that belief we seek for new and universal expression of emotion, focusing on music like indie rock/pop, shoegaze and post rock.

Born in 17th January 1978. A bachelor of Liberal Arts at International Christian University (Tokyo, Japan). After leaving a specialized CD/record store called Warszawa, joined Nature Bliss Inc. and left Nature Bliss on April 2011. Restarted a label called Happy Prince as a personal business from May 2011 (Happy Prince had started from July 2007).
